Frida Miranda obtained her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. She then joined and spent almost 2 years working in the research laboratory of Joshua Muia, Ph.D., at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma before transitioning to be a full-time master’s student. She is part of the team that investigates how ADAMTS metalloproteases recognize and process their substrates. Specifically, her interests have been understanding the substrate-induced activation of ADAMTS13 and the development and validation of a “Universal” ADAMTS13 substrates.
