Golzar (Golly) is a third year BHF funded PhD student. She is working in Dr Thomas McKinnon's lab in the department of Immunology and Inflammation. Golly previously obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences before undertaking a MSc in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London. Golly's research focuses on the structure and function of the D4 and C-Domains of Von Willebrand Factor (VWF). She is particularly interested in the thrombotic activity of the VWF stem structure and its response to shear stress.
