Dr Claire S Whyte, PhD, BSc, University of Aberdeen
I am an Advanced Postdoctoral Research Fellow focussed on developing novel models and ways of visualising fibrinolysis. Our microfluidic model of fibrinolysis has permitted us to visualise thrombus formation and stability under normal and pathophysiological situations. In particular I am focussed on cellular regulation of fibrinolysis, including platelets, leukocytes and the endothelium.
