AREAS OF RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Molecular genetics, proteomics and functional studies of rare hemorrhagic and thrombotic diseases. Major focus of interest is antithrombin deficiency. Development of laboratory diagnostic reagents in hemostasis and reagent evaluations. Participation in standardization projects of the SSC of ISTH. Co-chair of Plasma Coagulation Inhibitors SSC. 2020 – present Principal Investigator, Antithrombin Deficiency Registry (project of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis).
TEACHING ACTIVITY
In the field of hemostasis and thrombosis and molecular genetic diagnostics for medical students and for clinical laboratory scientists in Hungarian and in English continuously from the year of 2005 at the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Medicine; coordinator of clinical laboratory science (BSc and MSc) education at the faculty since 2016; PhD supervisor since 2010
ROUTINE LABORATORY DIAGNOSTIC ACTIVITY
Routine laboratory diagnostics at the Department of Laboratory Medicine continuously from the year of 2001. Head of the Hemostasis Unit of the Laboratory Medicine from the year of 2005 and Leader of the Molecular Genetic Diagnostic Laboratory of the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science continuously from the year of 2008. Working at the Outpatient Service for Thrombotic Diseases. Advisory function in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis for other Hospitals and Clinical Laboratories.
