Robert Klamroth is the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Vascular Medicine and Coagulation Disorders and Director of the Comprehensive Care Hemophilia Treatment Center and the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Unit at the Vivantes Klinikum Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Experimental Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at the University Clinic Bonn, Germany.
Professor Klamroth obtained his medical doctorate in 1994 from the Free University, Berlin, Germany and achieved his Privatdozent degree at the University of Bonn, Germany in 2017. He holds medical specialty qualifications in internal medicine, coagulation disorders and vascular medicine. Professor Klamroth is the current president of the European Association of Haemophilia and Allied Disorders and holds membership of various national and international societies in the field of angiology, thrombosis and hemostasis. He also serves as President for the German Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis Research.
Professor Klamroth’s primary research interest is hemophilia, and he has authored more than 100 papers reporting on drug development and patient care in the field of hemophilia and coagulation disorders. He has experience as a trial investigator supporting the identification of new therapies for hemophilia in phase 1–4 trials. Professor Klamroth has also participated as an investigator in large-scale registries and real-world studies of patients with congenital and acquired hemophilia.
