Madelaine Robertson is a third year PhD student at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is working under the direct supervision of Drs. Christian Kastrup and Pieter Cullis, researching platelet protein synthesis. Specifically, Madelaine is focused on the role of mRNA sequence in controlling exogenous protein synthesis in platelets, and the delivery of mRNA to platelets using lipid nanoparticle systems.
