Brian F. Gage, MSc, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis and attending physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. His research focuses on warfarin therapy, pharmacogenetics, venous thrombosis and atrial fibrillation. He developed the CHADS2 stroke prediction rule for atrial fibrillation and was the principal investigator of the Genetic InFormatics Trial (GIFT) of Warfarin Therapy to Prevent Deep Venous Thrombosis Trial.
