In 1986 she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University. Since that she has been working in the University Hospital in Pilsen, in Dpt. of Clinical Pharmacology, later in the Dpt. of Clinical Haematology and, currently in the 2nd Dpt. Of Internal Medicine.
She achieved the specialization in internal medicine of the 1st and 2nd degree and the specialization in angiology.
In 2002 she was accepted for a traineeship in the University of South Carolina in Chapel Hill, in the Centre for Thrombosis and Hemostasis.
In 2009 she gained a title Ph.D. and in 2014 she was appointed an associated professor in internal medicine.
In the practice, she is specialized in vascular diseases, especially in venous thromboembolism and thrombophilia. She is teaching Czech as well as foreign medical students and, in the 2nd Dpt. Of Internal Medicine, she is working as a deputy head for teaching and research. She is active in a research concerning venous thromboembolism.
