Yassene is an assistant professor at the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands. He received his PhD from the University of Göttingen, Germany. Yassene’s recent activities focuses on (pre-)clincial targeted omics characterization of plasma and tissue, specifically applicaitons of quantitative targeted proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. He has co-authored multiple works on precise quantitation of blood plasma proteins using mass spectrometry and heavy labeled surrogate peptide internal standards.
