    Biography
    Dr Giancarlo Castaman is the Director of the Centre for Bleeding Disorders and Coagulation at Careggi University Hospital, Florence, Italy. Dr Castaman serves as a Board member of the Italian Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis and chairs the European Hematology Association Scientific Working Committee on Bleeding and Thrombosis. He is an Editorial Advisory Board member of the American Journal of Haematology, Associate Editor-Hematology, Frontiers in Medicine, Journal of Molecular Sciences, and Bleeding, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology and an Editorial Board member for Expert Review of Haematology, Blood Transfusion,.
    He is author of about 400 scientific papers (H-I 67;i10index 268), about 750 scientific abstracts, around 40 chapters in Scientific books. Chairman and invited speaker at several scientific sessions of international and national meetings on Haemostasis and Thrombosis.
