Prof. Patricia Maguire BSc. PhD, is a Professor of Biochemistry at University College Dublin, Ireland and the Director of the UCD Institute for Discovery, a major transdisciplinary research institute in this university. Her research is focused on combining her expertise in the platelet releasate with the latest technological advancements in mass spectrometry and machine learning to aid in the diagnosis and further understanding of a variety of inflammatory diseases including Preeclampsia, Multiple Sclerosis, Venous ThromboEmbolism and COVID-19. She is author on over 60 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals including Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Nature Communications and Blood.
