My name is Xuefei Zhao, and I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the College of Life Science at Thomas Jefferson University, USA. I am currently studying in Dr. Peisong Ma's lab. Our research is mainly focused on hemostasis and thrombosis and understanding how the G protein-coupled receptors are negatively regulated so that circulating platelets can be prevented from activating needlessly or excessively, while still able to respond quickly to injury. These works will help us elucidate me mechanisms of the antiplatelet drugs that mediate their beneficial effects by interfering with or preventing the initiation of the GPCR signaling.
