    PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2001. I have developed my research career in prestigious institutes of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), in American research centers as The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) and the University of California San Diego (UCSD), and the biomedical company AMP. Currently, I am a senior researcher in the group of Coagulopathies in the Institute for Health Research of Hospital Universitario La Paz (IdiPAZ), Madrid, Spain. My scientific interest has been focused on the characterization of the genetic and molecular basis of the hemostasis and coagulation, with special emphasis on signaling pathways implicated in the platelet physiology and pathological processes of hemostatic rare disorders.
