Dr. Ilaria Mancini, PhD, Università degli Studi di Milano, Department of Pathophysiology and Transplantation, Milan (Italy), is a biotechnologist with a PhD in Experimental Hematology. Her research focuses on thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), a rare and life-threatening thrombotic microangiopathy, and ADAMTS13, the enzyme responsible for the disease. She works on the Milan TTP registry and is an expert of ADAMTS13 testing.
